Part Two: The Transmission
Part Two of Limitations on Nature goes inside the cluster.
McCasland didn't disappear alone. He disappeared at the end of a nine-month pattern involving eight people — scientists, engineers, researchers — all connected to the Air Force Research Laboratory or the institutions it funds. Some vanished. Some were murdered.

→ MONICA: The full story of Monica Jacinto Reza — the NASA JPL engineer who co-invented Mondaloy, vanished thirty feet behind her hiking companion, and whose Find a Grave memorial was created four days into the search while helicopters were still flying. The memorial listed a green burial. Green burial requires a body. No body has been found. The memorial has since been removed.

→ MELISSA: Melissa Casias, Los Alamos National Laboratory. Both phones factory-reset and wiped before she disappeared. Last seen walking east toward the forest with nothing.

→ NUNO AND CARL: A plasma physicist murdered at MIT. A Caltech astronomer shot on his porch eleven days before McCasland disappeared.

→ THE TRIGGER: Why the account's escalation didn't start in February 2026. It started in July 2025. Two weeks after Monica Reza vanished. She disappeared and he started teaching.
Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker: "When I look at three missing scientists in critical technology areas, what I come up with is — it has to be investigated fully by the FBI. They can't have these examined in isolation."
No entity is currently examining these incidents as a cluster.

February 27th, 2026, at 1:28 PM, someone posted two sentences on X.
"Generate small LOCAL FIELD. High Voltage gap, geometrically placed, allowing sustained Dwell time in gap." That was the last thing they ever posted. Within the hour, retired Air Force Major General William Neil McCasland — MIT PhD, former Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory, 34 years managing the most classified aerospace research in America — walked out of his house in Albuquerque without his phone, his glasses, or his wallet, and disappeared. The next day, the United States went to war with Iran. This is Part One of Limitations on Nature — a three-part Fear & Wine investigation into one of the most disturbing stories I've ever researched.
